BIAS INFORMATION

Everything you need to know about BIAS:

BIAS consists of hardware (the measuring head) and various software packages. You can put together an individual package from the software components listed below, or choose from the “editions” already preconfigured for different purposes and discounted by up to 28%. No matter which version you choose, an individual version is always created for each customer, because the software has to be adjusted (calibrated) to the electrical-acoustic properties of the measuring head.

BIAS is networkable: For example, you can perform your measurements in a suitable quiet room and store the database on your company’s central server. You may install the BIAS software on several computers in your company, so that employees can, for example, call up the properties of the instruments you have measured at their workplace or on the sales floor and show them to customers.

With the “BIAS 7 Admin Program” you can set up an own BIAS access with an own password for as many employees as you like with just a few mouse clicks and grant them different rights like for example only read, analyze and compare, or also edit and measure.

BIAS is also available for woodwind instruments. In this case all woodwind instruments are additionally included in the database. In most cases an adapter is necessary to connect the woodwind instrument to the measuring head, which you can easily make yourself or obtain from us.

Bias is continuously maintained and developed, as we are a spin off of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and use it at the university itself for our research.

Help Desk. In addition to a full-day individual training seminar included in the purchase price, we offer at least a 5-year help desk via email, phone or TeamViewer. In practice, we have found that even 10 or more years after purchase, we continue to help and support our customers with problems whenever possible.

BIAS hardware is sustainable and durable. Each system is subjected to an extensive practical test before delivery. Of the approximately 200 systems sold to date, only two measuring heads had to be repaired, one of them due to heavy contamination during the customer’s operation.
